More than a million people who voted in 2020 didn't vote in 2022. That's the problem. Two congressional districts didn't have a Democratic candidate and that's the problem.

I'm glad that the voters in my home state, which have leaned toward ultra-right wing crazy nutjob candidates and backward ways of doing things since long before I was born (this is the home state of Barry Goldwater, Joe Arpaio, Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs after all), seem to have emerged, in the last three election cycles, into reality by the skin of their teeth. It's taken a huge influx of new residents from neighboring California and a growing Latino population that votes more Democratic there than almost anywhere else except California, to get it there.
