(18,579 posts)I should not say this but in one picture I suddenly realized all that stage make up masks a lot.
Trump still uses stage make up but whoever does it is really bad. You never stop at the face line. That is why they cover your hair when applying.

(90,775 posts)Shes a snake hiding behind a harmless pretty face.
The face may be fetching as can be but the mind and heart behind it are dark as sin. Satans shit in pretty wrapping paper. Its designed to fool people and nudge them down off their guard.
At least this version LOST. Thank God.

(82,849 posts)Straight reporting on election deniers should no longer be a thing. Just because it's "out there," you don't need to follow the Cokie Roberts Rule. It's a minority position of losing candidates. It's not proffered in good faith, there isn't any evidence to support it. If you feel you must mention it, call it a lie or the Big Lie, and move on. Don't waste one more second of air time or one more column inch of print on this bogosity.

(1,068 posts)To quote Don Henley "She's the bubble headed bleach blonde who comes on at 5, she can tell you bout the plane crash with a gleam in her eye, get the widow on the set we need dirty laundry". Henley wrote that song in 1982 and it is a perfect description for people like Kari Lake and Tudor Dixon. They look good on TV and know how to keep you entertained but there is nothing underneath.

(7,189 posts)More than a million people who voted in 2020 didn't vote in 2022. That's the problem. Two congressional districts didn't have a Democratic candidate and that's the problem.
I'm glad that the voters in my home state, which have leaned toward ultra-right wing crazy nutjob candidates and backward ways of doing things since long before I was born (this is the home state of Barry Goldwater, Joe Arpaio, Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs after all), seem to have emerged, in the last three election cycles, into reality by the skin of their teeth. It's taken a huge influx of new residents from neighboring California and a growing Latino population that votes more Democratic there than almost anywhere else except California, to get it there.

I take no heart in her defeat. It shows that nearly half the people support the things Vaughn said.
This was not a resounding rejection of Trumpism. It was a close call with fascisim.

(458 posts)This guy has been documenting Lake's campaign step by step. Her "resume", or a summary of her outrageous statements must have been building up inside him the whole while. It must have felt so good to relieve himself of this assignment and of her poison finally, at last. Too bad his next step was to have to fly to Florida and stand across from Mar-a-Largo!

Yo America is not picking up what you are putting down. Yer selling buggy whips and America knows it.
These fools went with the economy, the economy, the economy except they had no economic plan.
They said out loud before an election that they wanted to cut SS and Medicare. What fool does that.
They did not think abortion would be an issue.
They did not think democracy would be an issue.
Our plan must be: Keep our young people and the middle engaged! Just to be clear they don't have to spend one dime advertising to me.
