Holy shit, We are going to enjoy watching the civil war within the Republican Party.

This is going to be something to behold. The Republicans know they have to dump Trump or they are screwed. Trump is going to go into full attack mode against Desantis, Moscow Mitch and the Democrats. All of this is going to take place at the same time all the investigations come to a head.

Get your popcorn ready, get your cocktails ready, this is going to be payback for all the bullshit we had to witness the past 6 years.

The American people are going to witness a shit storm called the Republican Party. They are not going to like it.

Just because someone is good at something (like, just as an example, hosting a reality TV show) doesn't mean that they will be in any way competent when selected to perform another function (like presidenting, running a casino business, etc.).

…since Trump announced his previous run in 2015, and Democrats were all laughing in anticipation of him thoroughly splitting the Republican Party in 2016.

How did that work out for us?

Anyone who thinks this is funny rather than dangerous is being blind. Whatever the initial fireworks between TFG and InSantis, it likely will be resolved after the first couple of primaries if not before, and the GQP will quickly unite behind the winner, who will be the biggest possible danger to our democracy ever in two years.

People saw his act and they didn’t like it. There’s nearly no way he can win the Presidency again. I want him to kneecap DeSantis.

The other fun stuff will be the infighting over Speaker and Senate minority leader. The crazy vs. the really crazy.

This is a Party that is coming apart at the seams. Do you really think they will rally around Trump. He would get destroyed in 2024. Trump is going to damage Desantis the Dork in the primary. Plus all the investigations are going to come to a head while this beautiful self destruction is taking place.

You are free to think the worst but I am going to enjoy what is coming.

enjoying it. There are many over the last few years that left the republican/trump party and didn't stay to try and guide the republican party back to normality.

They abandoned it, a nice touch when you have former GOP representatives that run at the first sign of trouble, and don't stay to try and keep the voice of sanity still in the party. Bodes well when these people try and claim that they know what is best for the Country. Yeah, right...you have a nice way of showing it. What happens when some serious issues affect the Country? Are you going to abandon the Country in its time of need like you did then, when you left the toxic republican/trump party?

I want to see them in tears for the absolute horror show they've wrought on this nation and other Americans. Their twisted experiment that not only weakened our nation, but caused countless deaths, both here on American soil and abroad. It wasn't funny and they should feel the full brunt of their shame!

Then I'll break out the popcorn and watch the republican tribalism fully devolve.

of thinking long term. He'd sit this one out. He's younger, so he can let Trump flame out. Then go "I told you so.". But that'll depend on his massively dumb ego. Then he can campaign for Trump. And prove "his loyalty" to the cult.

On the other hand. If DeSantis beats Trump decisively. Then Trump could cut a deal like "If you want the rest of my supporters. Swear to me that you'll keep me out of jail.". Then they make up. All is forgiven.....

But who knows. I like your version better. But having observed these pukes for a couple of decades and how they've devolved. The desire to punish us "libtards" is much greater than any temporary grudge/infighting. They just need to be told where to stand when all the lard...... I mean dust... has settled.

into a rallying cry for all his shocked and angry base to create as much chaos as possible to retake the country from evil Dems who want to destroy it. Either Trump himself or his Evangelical spokespersons will claim that it is a divine mission.

How much vitriol and chaos can he create? He looks like a loser now, so maybe not much. But we should probably not underestimate his charlatan skills. I have said in other posts that I think that Trump is a has been. But he has made comebacks before. He might not get enough support again to get back to the White House, but he could still have destructive social and political effects on the country.

"The looming GOP Civil War" has been "looming" since the advent of the Tea Partiers, when we were sure that those Republicans we view as "sane" would never ever align with the crazies just to win elections.

Yet they did, again and again.
