I guess the guy must be running for Pope or something. He's brought up religious references and his faith and praying to Our Lord Jesus Christ...
Hey, as some here may know, I'm a lifelong (if lapsed) Catholic, and I'm still basically a believer. But Good Grief, I don't use every other sentence to shove my religious beliefs down somebody else's throat! And in such a simpering, sanctimonious way, too! I feel like I'm about to lapse into a diabetic coma and I am not a diabetic. I guess it's his idea of sincerity, but Holy Cannoli, does it read as phony as all-get-out. ICK!!!!! I feel positively sticky.
And here I thought America was a secular nation, with freedom of (and from) religion as each individual sees it. Not with THIS dude.

(89,873 posts)Conveniently, every audience member introduced to ask a question was a Republican. I kept waiting for a Democrat or an Independent, but finally gave up, before the bottom of the hour. Couldn't stomach anymore.

(11,677 posts)There was some other right wing program they were pushing this week, I didn't watch that either.
It's just like what they did to the morning show. Minimize the Democrats, give republicons all the airtime they want, and have a crackpot-right co-anchor.

(55,081 posts)No CNN for me since the few times I "decided to give them another chance" proved that they are leaning right. I will only watch if there is a big, news story, like a weather disaster.

(5,491 posts)has been reported to be moving to the right after in was bought by Trump donor John Malone. I don't understand why people here would deny that.

(12,989 posts)Trump's fake piety might be his achilles heel in keeping his base intact. Pence was on the ticket largely to shore up that vote, after all.

Hoping they can bring it about. And, Im not joking.
My MIL who is a very religious democrat, basically told me she wants the rapture to happen in her lifetime. They honestly think it will. She was perplexed when I stated, thats what these people want to do. They want to bring about the rapture. She was curious as to why I did not want that to happen??? It was a weird conversation. I was basically trying to say, we cant make that happen by doing political shit. But she was all in on the rapture shit. It was almost like she was okay with certain things. If it brought the rapture. Crazy.

(816 posts)the orange Dotard allowed him to step in his orange shadow. Pence was dutiful and creepy. Now, he's mildly
rebuking the Dotard, and asking for respect. No one likes him. No one respects him.

I wonder why that is . . .
Giving such a tongue-bath to the likes of Mike Pence is a clear bias.

(5,410 posts)I was wondering why he was on there for so long... I was channel-flipping between MSNBC, CNN, and DU.... lol
I never stayed so long with Pence on CNN to know what he was talking about, beyond his christian religious BS...
If the GOP voter base was actually as 'christian' as a significant portion of them claimed to be, he ought to be doing better in the polls, yes ? but 5 percent? LOL
Most of the Republicans who claim to adhere to christian beliefs are CINO-- Christian In Name ONLY.
In a way, I feel sorry for him. In reality, not.
"LORD OF THE FLIES" ?? He might win that election, if the flies can vote!!!
They seem to like the smell of him....

(20,504 posts)Remembering his long, hopelessly sycophantic gazes at Trump during his propaganda screeds was all I ever needed to see. Pence has no spine or love of country.
He and "Mother" are both hopeless sky pilots. They'd love the entire country to be exactly like themselves. Not me, not ever. I have nothing against people who believe, but when they allow it to take over their lives and then proselytize to everyone they come in contact with.......no thanks. Piss off!

(43,076 posts)I caught a few of the promos on abc which has or had him on some other show.
He has so many traits that I dislike:
hes a chicken about speaking out
hes been a dutiful sycophant to an idiot, trump
he exhibits no sense of humor
he calls his wife mother
hes religious

(7,347 posts)Figured it be a long sermon-like monologue.
When I'm asked to speak in church, they are seldom longer than 10 minutes and that's only because I'm adding a lot of history for context. Rest of the time, I'm done at the 5 minute mark.
Make my point with the necessary supporting arguments and references and done. Guess whose speech every one seems to remember?
I sat through someone else's that went on for 25 minutes...at the end of it all, I had no clue what his point was. He went off on so many tangents, it lost everyone.
