What happens if he is not charged? I despair to think.

I believe it will be much worse if he is not charged.
That is just my opinion.

But, with a public trial, at least all the facts would be aired out.
People would make their own judgements.

WaPo already leaked earlier this week that DoJ says Trump had no motive other than ego to hoard the docs and there is no evidence of sharing the docs, etc.
Slap on the wrist, at most.
