Recession has hit Russia, the unwashed Russians are upset. Putin's inner circle is not as supportive, they are still afraid of him, but there are cracks.
If Putin goes down, credit goes to president Biden along with the will and courage of the Ukranian people.
A toppling of Putin will cement President Biden as one of the top 3 presidents in our nation's history, and president Zelenskyy will be known as the greatest president of Ukraine.
Geez I hope that Putin didn't take advice from Trump or his pal Tucker Carlson about President Biden. Trump and Tucker better stay away from Polonium soup.

(12,374 posts)if and when Putin goes down, hopefully via a fall out of a window, credit should go to Pres. Biden, NATO and every country standing up to the tyrant.

(21,334 posts)Who was the glue who pushed through weapons for Ukraine? President Biden understood how far to push, how far to go to keep from escalating into WW III.
There is a lot of support that the US gave to Ukraine that remains hidden, like logistics and communication abilities. One of the problems for Russia was its ability to communicate among the troops. I'm sure we helped Ukraine with our satellite capabilities.
Now, even if Putin goes down, there are people waiting in the wings just as ruthless. His demise, his defeat will send shock waves across Russia.

(21,448 posts)for the aid he has given to Ukraine and for uniting not just NATO, but other nations as well.
But, the successes of Ukraine in this war would not have happened without President Zelenskyy's leadership of his nation and the Ukrainian people's courage and stamina. Ukraine is fighting for its life, but also on behalf of democracy in the world.

(14,747 posts)A popular uprising would look like the bahkmut kill box. The military is largely behind him. And the elite class keeps falling out of windows.
The only real threat to him is wagner, who are building forces in and around moscow and st pete. And so far, wagner is loyal.
In any event, the head of wagner would likely seize control if/when putin dies. And that would be a decidedly turn for the worse.
Still, down with putin and his entire rotten regime (including wagner). One problem child at a time.

(12,504 posts)This must be some sort of a desperate act of suicide to get off so many rounds...anything it takes to avoid Putin.
"It turns out that the colonel shot himself in the chest five times," the Baza Telegram channel wrote, noting that no suicide note was found at the scene.
Regional authorities and law enforcement officials have yet to comment on the reports of Boyko's death.
According to Baza, Boyko was responsible for working with Russian soldiers drafted under Putin's September 21 mobilization order.
