I just love the way this country keeps on changing. Almost every ethnic group gets vilified as it becomes a noticeable presence, and then they become a very important part of the culture.

I often wonder what this country could have been like if Africans could have immigrated here on their own, rather than through the whole slavery nonsense. If we could have somehow bypassed the entire business of skin color mattering, just imagine how we all would have benefitted!
