2. Twitter had many niche audiences of course

Some of those will move to other, safer venues leaving Twitter equivalent to Truth Social and some non-political niches. All Elon's tweaking will have served to pulverize the main parts and lose them to competitors. Twitter may or may not remain the largest, but it will shrink. Its growth is over in my view.
