(2,938 posts)...just like I did when I drove home from the doctor with my mask on alone in my car. (didn't realize I still had the mask on until I was about 1/3 of the way home. Decided to keep it on because the only ones that would be bothered by it deserved to be.)

(1,193 posts)I am absolutely livid ... Basically refusing to answer any questions. To paraphrase mayor he believes red flag law should be enforced. What a cop out ... everyone knows El Paso County's refusal to enforce. They are just hoping this will be forgotten about.

(14,792 posts)because, the DA says, they have a right to remain silent so sharing whatever he said to them would violate that right. Huh? It's not an agreement between the cops and the public; it's an agreement between the suspect and the state.
Whatever.
The red flag answer was almost equally appalling, though. This whole press conference made me feel worse.

(1,193 posts)How did that honor the victims? As usual bright red Colorado Springs trying to save their reputation.

(23,523 posts)believe if that is the case it is to show respect. A friend told me to refer to her sibling as "They" and I'm completely fine with it and happy to do it.

(1,193 posts)The press conference was just a self-serving attempt to explain why they would not answer questions.

(21,325 posts)I think I heard someone in the audience ask if one gun was a ghost gun and the other gun was bought illegally in Florida. Apparently they had heard something to that effect. Didn't get an answer.

(51,308 posts)My question is how did he walk in the bar with a long gun?
Back in my days at the (gay) bars, even if there wasnt a cover, the entrance was usually tightly controlled. Of course, back in those days, being gay was even less accepted.
Still, I would think theyd have people at the entrance.
