He became much more vocal after the election and after his book came out.
He wanted everyone to know that he did not think the J6 Committee was "fair" and he said he had "closed the door" to talking with them.
He also said that during the insurrection, Trump was not part of the solution, he was part of the "problem". I'm sure the prosecutors would like to know more about what he meant by that?
He may have closed the door on the Committee but the DOJ has opened their door very wide for Mr Pence. He has a lot of information that no one else has access to, except the former Criminal-in-Chief himself. He needs to tell what he knows so we can try to resolve this crisis and get along with the country's business.
He needs to understand that it is highly unlikely that he will ever be in the White House ever again and he needs to step up and do what is best for the country.
Was it an attempted coup? Did Trump actually try to overthrow our government or was it all the brainchild of the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers? Or did it go much deeper into our government?
Mike Pence could shed a lot of light if he could put politics aside and do the right thing.

(7,805 posts)he did everything he could to obey his master and when he called Dan Quayle he was hoping to get a "Fuck ya, go with it!"..but Quayle was appalled..and when Judge Luttig got a frantic call from Pence's outside counsel, he wrote a tweet imploring Pence to do the right thing, not go along with Trump, and certify the election..the real heroes are (cough cough) Dan Quayle and Michael Luttig..and now Pence is downplaying the insurrection, and tepidly throwing shade on Trump...
I suspect Pence will have a sit-down with the DOJ..whether he tells the real truth and not his "I saved the United States" version of the truth remains to be seen

(8,962 posts)It's all there, directly beneath that snow-white flyscape. The book is just a "teaser". Pence has a duty to step up and reveal the full truth of what went down, and abide by whatever Christian values he professes to hold. Otherwise, history will brand him as a posing fraud who sold out his country.

Difficult place for the best of weasels, let alone Mike Pence
