Ancient Roman snacks found in Colosseum dig

Spectators at Rome's ancient gladiator arena, the Colosseum, may have enjoyed snacks of olives, fruit and nuts, archaeologists have found.

Food fragments of figs, grapes, cherries, blackberries, walnuts and more have been unearthed at the site.

But no sign of larks' tongues, wrens' livers, chaffinch brains, jaguars' earlobes, hot wolfs' nipple chips, dromedary pretzels, Tuscany fried bats, otters' noses, ocelots' spleens or even badgers' spleens.

And yeah those twinkies would be like the wooly mammoths found in the permafrost years ago that were so well preserved they could be used as food.
..except the twinkies dont have to be frozen they just last forever.
