I remember when people from the state government were at a meeting with the Council of Chiefs at the longhouse at Onondaga. At the end of the meeting, Chief Waterman said, "Well, it was really nice that you stopped in from Europe. It's getting late. But we've made three boats for you, the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria!"

Young ex-army co-worker at my new job just can't let a day go by without some snide remark about the "illegals". I already irked him terribly mentioning when I worked at a hospital near the Mexico border several years ago, we regularly had injuries from unsuccessful wall scaling hazards. None of us ever asked them about their papers for god's sake, matter of fact it was mentioned as policy that wasn't our job. I could care less, someone needs help, I help.
Oh, young RW'er just about went crazy. "You can't ask?" "Nope. Against hospital policy. We aren't immigration, we're caregivers."
That got him twisted up in all sorts of knots.

Now it turns out the boss and other co-workers aren't pleased with this person, and as soon as a replacement is found, he's out.
But now I'll have to print this off and find a sly way to put it in his path anonymously before he's gone.
