Surgeon General under Trump is struggling to find a job ...ha ha!

Kissing trump azz doesnt pay. Isnt this the guy that said trump was in better health than his much much younger self.

https://www.rawstory.com/donald-trump-jerome-adams/

In an interview with the Washington Post, one of Donald Trump's former Surgeons General expressed frustration with the path his career has taken due to his ties to the former president that took place during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

As the report notes, Dr. Jerome Adams and his wife have pinned his struggles to find a landing spot commensurate with his experience on what they call they call the "Trump Effect" which is not abating now that the former president has launched a third run for the presidency.

According to the report, "It followed them from Washington to their home in the Indianapolis suburbs. They felt it when he was exploring jobs in academia, where he would receive polite rejections from university officials who worried that someone who served in the administration of the the former president would be badly received by their left-leaning student bodies. They felt it when corporations decided he was too tainted to employ."

In an interview, he explained that Trump is “a force that really does take the air out of the room,” before adding, "The Trump hangover is still impacting me in significant ways.”

As the Post's Manuel Roig-Franzia wrote, "The former surgeon general’s predicament underscores one of the givens of today’s political environment: Association with Trump becomes a permanent tarnish, a kind of reverse Midas touch. Whether indicted or shunned or marginalized, a cavalcade of former Trump World figures have foundered in the aftermath of one of the more chaotic presidencies in modern American history."

…as his oath demanded, and an honor to be in the US military.

Not one word about swearing fealty to a temporary elected official, much less the likes of Donald Trump.

That televised ass-kissing ritual that Trump put on was an appalling embarrassment on a global scale.

You just had to have integrity, and stand up for the medicine, science, facts etc. I don't remember Adams ever doing anything notable about Covid, when Fauci and others needed support.

And as niyad points out in reply #25, he has got a comfortable job at Purdue U anyway.

From the WP article: "Other surgeons general, he feels, have been less intensely identified with the president who appointed them". Well, yes, other surgeons general have not had a threat to public health like Donald Trump to combat. He didn't do well, so he's not well regarded. It's not that he did something wrong, so much as his limitations were revealed. His wife Lacey's judgement was sound: "Lacey saw it coming. She said she “hated Trump” ... Lacey, 46, worried about a lasting “stigma”".

That if you hitch your star to Trump, you're not going to be negatively affected when there is SO much evidence that's what happens. It would have been smarter to "take the hit" by not joining his administration for four years (earning less than what you probably did before) than to now have to try to get back to where you were, waiting for the stench to dissipate.

Walker and Thomas also come to mind. It’s as if the Republican Party is ok with them in some way because they are married to white women.

WHAT A CROCK!!!!!

So somebody's STILL blaming it 'on the libs!' Don't bother to explain your 'decision-making skills' when taking a position in a hateful, demented administration, no matter how 'pure' your motives.

AND, while you're crying, where've you been for the past 2 years? What - sitting at home awaiting you 'bonus' for your time with tRump?

Well, it looks like you got it.

This is just another example. Poor guy thought he was cementing his future signing on with trump. Just the opposite.

Kari Lake is making the same mistake in currying up to trump. She's desperate after losing her race, but she'll regret hooking up with trump.

he is not exactly unemployed.

Can somebody direct me to evidence of him speaking out against bleach, uv light and hydroxychloroquine?

And can somebody tell me exactly how many cades of zika and ebola there were in IN when he was pence-appointed health head from 2014-2017?
