I'm thankful for the streaming services this time of year.

Most of my family has either passed or drifted away into their own worlds. I'm pretty much stuck at home and don't see many folks except for the Instacart delivery folks.

This is the time of year when adverts and programming go into high gear with heart wrenching holiday stories that when one is without immediate family or even a dog and can make a soul absolutely miserable.

Thanks to today's streaming service I can peruse DU and other social media with 10 hours of documentary about the Andean mountain range without one bloody hint of Christmas and the only thing to possibly bring a tear is the breathtaking scenery.

Cheers to a holiday free viewing experience for those of us who would prefer not to be beaten over the head by salesmen Santas.
