11:00 p.m. TUESDAY: Same-sex marriage referendum narrowly leading

With just over half of Maryland’s votes recorded, same-sex marriage is narrowly winning.

At 10:50 p.m., the state Board of Elections had 51 percent of precincts reporting and Question 6 — which would allow same-sex couples to obtain marriage licenses — was winning 51 percent to 49 percent.

Many precincts were still not reporting in larger jurisdictions including Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, Prince George's County and Montgomery County.

Some smaller counties had completed reporting from all precincts, including St. Mary's County, Talbot County and Garrett County.

Lots of anti-gay folks here in PG County, motivated by their pastors.
