God, the AP is just as bad as CNN

I am some what hesitant to give the link because I don't want to give them clicks.

Did the reporter bother to question any of their interviewees ascertations? Like, how the fuck do you see south Minneapolis from Hudson, WI? I seriously question whether they could see any smoke from Hudson, WI, let alone any fires.

They have such an insular view, reinforced by scary stories from the RW media about what’s going on in the cities where 80% of Americans live, that they have little idea about the real world.

Hudson has been a Twincities suburb for over forty years. However the way it is described you would think the cavalry just left the fort a couple years ago and the town has just got the telegraph.

As for how wild and dangerous it gets, I have been past Hudson, even all the way to Menominee. I didn't see any large predators or roving war bands...

Now I can't fully discount they could see some faint orange glow to the west, but in St Paul (15 miles closer) I couldn't see any flames.

in which liberals and Democrats in small towns or big cities are interviewed and taken seriously. I've lost track of how many times some "serious" reporter from CNN or AP - or ostensibly liberal publications like Atlantic or Harpers - has ventured out to the hinterlands to interview Elmer and Mabel down at the diner on Main Street in Bumfuck, Wisconsin, to get their opinions about Trump and guns and Jesus. When are they going to drive another thirty miles west to interview this liberal old lady in Minneapolis who also has opinions?

“I’m not a big gun guy,” says Carlson, whose weapons include pistols, a shotgun, an AR-15 rifle, 10 loaded magazines and about 1,000 additional rounds. “For a lot of people that’s just a start.”
