I'm betting 7 out of 10 will not be able to name Libya.
9 out of 10 won't know that it's a Mediterranean coastal city.

(16,423 posts)How many will remember that the Republicans tried to prove that HRC should have been pre-warned about the violent protest due to an online-video calling for said protest?
How many will remember that HRC supposedly reduced the security at the Benghazi-compound, even though the Republican-controlled Congress reduced security to save a few dollars?

(16,069 posts)I happen to know and like quite a few rural redneck blue collar types with sweaty brows and venison in freezer.
They are not the problem.
It's the racist white assholes that are the problem and dividing this country. We damn sure didn't vote for the Orange Jesus.

(15,279 posts)"Classical Liberal thought, not radical leftism."
There is barely any "radical leftism" alive in the US, and certainly very little among elected Democrats.
By world standards, Democrats in the US would count as a center to center right party. Just because Republicans programmatically, propagandistically use phrases like "the extreme radical left" whenever referring to anyone to the left of Genghis Khan doesn't make it so.

(58,785 posts)as "rather literate" on the subject seems like painting with strokes so incredibly broad they leave all facts behind.
If there were even a kernal of truth to THIS false equivalence (ME?! THEM???), I'd have to be really upset. As it is, I can't even be insulted.
Oh, welcome to DU and goodbye in case I don't happen to see you again.

The Marines guard the Embassy.
