(82,849 posts)Lake's fans are just beside themselves, absolutely convinced that Lake was robbed just like Chee-toh Jesus was robbed, and with about the same amount of evidence. I could be wrong, but I don't think Lake has the bottomless reserve of whiny childish petulance that the former guy has (and who does), so she'll soon disappear into the penumbra of the spotlight and be utterly forgotten.

Could it be, the cure for Trumpism is simply boredom? Like "Who Let the Dogs Out?"

(296,558 posts)He (the judge) said, Any objectively reasonable investigation of this case would have led to publicly available and widely circulated information contradicting Plaintiffs (meaning Lake, Finchem and their lawyers) allegations and undercutting their claims.
He said the lawyers acted recklessly and vexatiously (which is my new favorite word.)
Lawsuit was a 'misuse of the judicial system'
Unlike the internet, federal courts not only like facts, they require them. They demand evidence.😀😀😀

(2,063 posts)VEXATIOUSLY her lawyers acted....hahahah!
Meaning:
Vexatious litigation is meant to bother, embarrass, or cause legal expenses to the defendant. A plaintiff who starts such litigation either knows or should reasonably know that no legal basis for the lawsuit exists.

(82,849 posts)Though the guy might have called the former guy "Orange Jesus." Anyway, I saw Chee-toh Jesus somewhere lost in the mists of the internet, and make no claim to originality.

(60,264 posts)Besides, I don't think that the friendly wind blowing in our direction in Arizona of late has completely escaped her attention, and she IS up for re-election in 2024. If she wants to even be considered for the Arizona Democratic primary, she should discover some intense affinity for the party and the President, starting, like, yesterday.
erronis
(23,988 posts)Altho with major $$$ donors, I guess she has excuses.
DFW
(60,264 posts)But she'll have to play her role very convincingly if she wants to survive the 2024 primary season, and by then, she'll either have painted herself into a very Democratic corner, or painted herself out of the running when primary season starts. Unless she has some $750,000 a year job waiting for her (which we certainly can't eliminate as a possibility) in January, 2025, I think she'll have to either put up or check out the pension payments schedule for former Senators.
