When do we pack the courts?!?!?!

Seriously the one thing I'm always waiting for is for our party to push back with the strength that the Republicans push with.

When are we going to pack the courts and stop letting these idiots get away with this crap? They are literally about to outlaw equality so smug little Christoterrorists can weaponize every day life against their enemies which is EVERYONE.

When?!?! When do we pack the courts?!?!?!

Screw "bipartisanship" use the lame duck session and pack the scotus with Liberal judges!!!

for absolutely sure won't be happening as it would take an act of congress to expand the number of justices.

2. Actually the president can do it on his own

The president doesn't need congress to do this.

He can literally run around them and expand the court on his own.

Actual presidential power in certain times.

Look it up.

From your article:

Can Congress change the number of seats on the high court?

Yes. The Constitution leaves this decision to Congress. It says, “the judicial power of the United States shall be vested in one Supreme Court and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.”

And from time to time, Congress has indeed changed the number of justices. It was six when Congress passed the first Judiciary Act in 1789 and the number fluctuated in the mid-19th century. But since 1869, the high court has had nine justices.

9. Or 218 Representatives and 51 non-filibuster-worshipping Senators

We could do it right now if Manchin and Sinema weren't being fucking asses about this. And protect abortion rights nationally and protect the country from debt-default brinkmanship, all before Republicans take over the House.

But, apparently, being "bipartisan" is too precious to give up. Or answering to wealthy donors.

16. Resistance to expanding the court might have been higher back then

We've now got a packed court where two of three Justices seated by Trump were essentially stolen from Democratic presidents.

Even with 60 senators, it might not be that they'd all go along with expanding the court. Getting rid of the filibuster comes first for a lot of things.

He's the oldest and most unhealthy looking, so my money is on him to go first. But, I wouldn't cry if alito or kavanagh got hit by a bus while crossing the street.

And their policies have failed on every level. We have literal terrorists and Nazis on American soil now. It's way past time for them to go.

15. To "pack" the courts is what Republicans have done!!!

If we now respond in kind, it will not be "packing" the courts---

It will be RE-BALANCING the courts!
