There is a lot of crowd noise and it is a bad recording.

He was asked why they didn't shake hands and he started by saying it should be self explanatory.

Initially, they condemned the riots, but because of whatever Trump has on him, they backtracked and have refused to hold Trump and others responsible for what happened. Louis Gohmert, for example, presented J6 rioters with a flag that was flown over the capital, which is an insult to everything his brother (Sicknick, I believe) stood for. None of the Republicans have any honor except for Liz Cheney who sacrificed her career to stand up for what is right.

The reality is that the Sicknick family knows what Republicans/Conservatives have been trying to do with regards to the events that cost them the life of their family member. They are so used to getting away with doing nothing or actually doing damage, but still getting the respect of acknowledgement as a public servant or Congressional Leader. The family made it clear that McConnell and McCarthy are owed NOTHING.
