Since this will be a divided Congress, a fully Democratic Party controlled Senate means committees can issue Senate subpoenas without having a single Republican or MAGA senator buy in to the subpoena issuance request. In a 50/50 Senate it's a powersharing arrangement and not just D's can force a subpoena.

What I considered to be "reality" was severely undermined in 2016. But the next three cycles have been positive.
