This is a huge fucking deal.

Obama is the first president since FDR to be re-elected with high unemployment. He's also the second democratic president to be re-elected since the end of WW2 but he won by more than Clinton did both times. Obama really is a transformational president just because of ACA. I can't wait to see what he's going to do in the next four years. I never doubted that he'd win for a minute.

It should mark the end of a substantial part of the Depression we've been in since 2001, with a minor relapse around 2017. I believe that Mitt Romney was aware of this and hoped to capitalize on it, which is partly why he never presented anything concrete.
