CBS Sports journalist Grant Wahl -- one of the most respected soccer reporters in the country -- died while covering the World Cup, his brother announced Friday. He was 49 years old.

Grant was in Qatar when he passed ... and Eric Wahl believes foul play was involved, as he claims the reporter was receiving death threats over wearing a rainbow shirt in support of the LGBTQ+ community.

Other underlying issues. Not sure how long she has, she's also in kidney failure. Seems like one thing after another lately. Losing people right and left, or cancer diagnosed... Tough times.

The little 27 y/o gal who fills in for me has cancer and had surgery this week. So hard. I know she has a little boy, he must be scared sick. Not sure when she's coming back to work, so I'm on 7 days a week until she's okay.

This time of year can be hard, getting older, feeling mortal, seeing friends pass, watching a younger person with a young child face cancer are all very heavy emotional weights to bare. Not to mention the load of working 7 day weeks on top of the rest.
