Reich on Sinema (Mastodon):

Kyrsten Sinema single-handedly stopped Democrats from ending a tax break for hedge-fund managers and private equity executives.

Meanwhile, she received ~$1 million in donations from Wall Street.

Don’t be fooled: Sinema isn't “independent.” She's beholden to her donors.

1. She used that money to find a first class trip to Europe for "Fund Raising"

It's illegal to solicit funds from foreigners so apparently she was trying to raise money from Americans she met at the spas.

Are people talking about running a Democrat against her in 2024? Or are we concerned it could throw the election to a Republican due to votes being divided between Independent Sinema and whoever we might run as a Dem? I think that we should do it. I am not a Sinema fan by any stretch of the imagination.

7. Maybe the story is the rich donors have influenced her to do just this:

put a Senate seat in GOP hands. She does strike me as someone who has been "love bombed" by a psychopath or sociopath and under the sway of something that touches her soul and makes her giddy at the same time. Watch her.

she'd have to go after Republican voters, so how many would support her over a Republican on the ticket. It would force a 3-way race

...her approval among Rs was higher than either Ds or indies.
She was under water with all 3 segments, but for those approving of here it was R, I, D. Among dems, her approval was in single digits.

the egocentric attention whore. Yes, it does.

With her supposed life as a child you'd think she'd focus on keeping other families with children from suffering the same fate. You'd be wrong. It's quite obvious she only cares about feathering her own nest, and to hell with everyone else.

Hypocrite, thy name is Sinema.

She has voted with Biden 93 percent of the time. There are a few Democratic senators who do not share this status. IMHO she declared independence to assure her maintaining her seat. She will continue to caucus with the Democrats. We should keep an eye on her and if need be run against her next election.

and that counts as being a Democrat for Senate majority status.

I'm not a Sinma fan, and I hate to use her name in the same sentence because they are worlds apart in integrity, but Bernie is an independent, and his caucusing with us counts for the Senate majority also.

She is certainly more reliable that Manchin. I am afraid that if dems run a candidate, we may lose as Sinema would siphon a lot of independent votes and maybe up to 20% dem votes. May depend on what kind of lunatic gop is going to run but as we saw with midterms, margins are very tight in that state. Bottomline, Sinema is 100% better than ANY gop alternative.
