Not really impressed with the one we just got. Would prefer to see a couple good dems run for the seat.

both to fill out Harris's term and for a full term of his own.

I like to take credit for Padilla cause I wrote to Newsom and told him to appoint him. I'd like to see him more active, though.

Would he have gotten the seat the first time if he had run in a regular election?

I agree with you, he's been really quiet, probably why I'm not to happy with him right now. California senators need to make noise!

and the people here should be in the position of choosing her successor, rather than having both of our Senators be political appointments by our governor.

Not to mention that--by reputation--she has about the very best staff on Capitol Hill.

Great news!!!

You shouldn't allow someone to continue performing brain surgery out of the dignity and respect that they deserve.
You shouldn't allow someone to continue to drive out of dignity and respect.

Many people are swayed by such language, and it is one of the saddest things.

a great job for the people of California.

Bashing her on a Democratic forum is really grotesque and out of place.

Talk about things that are "sad," the disrespect you are displaying takes the cake.

I've lost a lot of elderly relatives these last few years - she's right in the zone. She'll be lucky to make it to 2025.

I hope she makes it to the end of her term and enjoys a lengthy retirement.

These are very unkind words aimed at a respected Democrat.

Is this what you want to put out into the world? Is it good. Is it healing? Is it necessary?

None of this is necessary.

I have no obligation to make my DU posts "healing". This isn't therapy, and Dems are fighting for control of this government against literal Fascists.

I've been through the DU Ageism Wars in 2016 and 2020. What I said about DiFi, who is not my Senator, is mild.
