(49,041 posts)2. I checked, and you're right that this is now disabled while driving, but
originally it wasn't. It took media coverage and the goverment investigating to force Tesla to do a software update disabling this feature when the car was in motion. For several months Tesla drivers could play video games while the car was moving.
And since Teslas have been hacked in various ways, this software might be, too.

But some jackass has to ruin it for the rest of us!!
I think some clown wrapped a car around a tree while in auto pilot, breaking all the rules, using a device to mimic having a hand on the wheel and playing a game or watching a movie, I forget.
