We have all been praising Rachel Maddow's Ultra and many of us

wondered how long before someone made a movie about it. Not long it seems, Spielberg has obtained the movie rights. I am looking forward to this movie.

According to Deadline, the talks to purchase film rights to the podcast became a bidding war in recent months with Maddow taking meetings with high-level Hollywood execs in an attempt to find the show, which she wrote and hosted, a perfect home.

A bidding war? Wow, sounds like Rachel's doing okay for herself!

I can't wait to see this movie.

When are they going to make a movie out of this?

Let's hope a movie is made and released during the 4th of July weekend or Labor Day weekend in 2024, just prior to the Presidential General Election. So that people can see what they are voting for when they vote (R).

ever and I suspect this movie will be a good one too. I hope the jurors of the soon to be indicted congressional members and tfg either listen to the podcast or see the movie before the trials.

She is so good at this. And to get the Spielberg treatment! Resurrecting a period of history that has been disappeared in the decades after it happened. That we had real American Nazis in our Senate and House even while we were fighting the Nazis overseas. The ones we have now are not outright Nazis but they are authoritarians of various stripes and enemies of democracy.

down the history hole. I wonder what else is out there, we are not aware of. It also shows the need for accountability so idiots such as those in the republican party understand how it will end. I hope we see some real accountability soon and we see a different ending.

There's also a movie out right now, Amsterdam, by David O Russell, about the attempted overthrow of FDR by elites trying to use American veterans. I think I saw it on HBO over the weekend. So it's probably on demand.
