It's absolutely incredible to me that these men still find the energy for full-on sprints after 100+ minutes.

(14,344 posts)had a bumper sticker that said "Soccer players do it for 90+ minutes". It always made me laugh. They are some of the best conditioned folks out there. My daughter played through high school and was in superb shape during the seaon.

DS was a HS senior when his team made the playoffs. Their game was delayed because the teams before them went into a shootout.
I didn't know any of these kids and I was a nervous mess.
In one of the most beautiful sports scenes I ever witnessed, when the game ended, the losing goalie just collapsed to the ground in despair. His coach ran to him and gathered him in his arms. The entire team circled around the goalie and coach, giving their support.
