(9,100 posts)It sounds like Musk doesn't have any better offers at the moment anyway.

(8,610 posts)The smart move for him would be to find a quiet remote spot and get off the internet for a while. I'd suggest going fishing but he doesn't work for scale.

(5,104 posts)Rick Caruso (who became a "Democrat" days before filing to run), I'd be careful about what one wishes for here.
I'd vote "Hell no!" myself.

(8,200 posts)Musk's question:
Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.
Final results:
Yes 57%
No 43%
17.5 million people voted.
Now, will he be true to his word?

(7,839 posts)And snoop dogs silly poll, same thing the silliness is second only to hate speech on Twitter. Or maybe pet videos 🤔?

(8,200 posts)If you followed the lawsuit Musk filed against Twitter after they accepted his offer, he was desperately trying to get out of the deal until literally the day the deal went through, when, according to the terms of the contract, he could no longer back out of it.
So, if he "won" the poll, he "won" it in the sense that it might give him an out to walk away from the deal, the out he had been fighting for in court until the deal went through.
Was it smart? No. Was he desperate & ready to take any "out" he could get to walk away? Possibly, & even probably. Especially for someone whose actions have become increasingly irrational.
