But THIS? This is UNPRECEDENTED, and as much as I consider Trump to be a pitiful excuse for a human being, this is a SAD...but VERY NECESSARY...day in U.S. history.
I'd say it dramatically overshadows a blow job in the oval office, too.

(10,237 posts)We learned from Mueller's special counsel is that it is ultimately up to the Attorney General whether or not to seek indictments, regardless of what the special counsel does or recommends.

(1,789 posts)The important part of this is the evidence they will provide. It won't bother me how long it takes, provided he is already in jail for the easier to prove documents case.

(10,749 posts)Nevertheless, I harbored the fantasy that the DOJ would be ready at the conclusion of the hearing to announce indictments. After all, theyve been investigating as well, and I thought I read at some point the the committee was sharing info with the DOJ.
IMHO there need to be at least some indictments against trump and a few others before the end of the year. Or maybe on the day before the new Congress is installed, with more indictments to follow regularly. Momentum is crucial, to say nothing of the 2024 campaign season.
