They are both horrible actors! The aunt was reading her silly rant quite calmly, not seeming to be holding back emotion at all, then suddenly at the very end, her voice "broke" and she sounded like she could hardly get the words out. Not quite as fake as Rittenhouse, but not convincing, either.

Pro tip: It's never convincing when someone's voice and facial expression telegraph crying, while their eyes don't shed a single tear.
