(3,317 posts)Is and was a crook. No questions on that. Just how many laws has he broken? Or is the list shorter for the ones he did not break?

(82,849 posts)Will the political pundits don sackcloth and ashes for being so gullible and taking the former guy at his word?

(2,321 posts)Aside from bloated insecure yams and the mainstream media, pundits are the last to acknowledge their imperfect skill-sets and that mistake they made, oh, say, back in the '90's.

(53,546 posts)That dawns on me most every time I see a photo of him and I wonder if I'd forgotten how ugly he really is. Being we don't see his face plastered everywhere these days, it would be easy to forget. That truly is a nasty looking man.

(53,546 posts)When he was younger, he looked rather sleazy. Over the years, he just got flat out ugly as his true being surfaced more and more. I didn't see the meanness and cruelty as much when he was younger. Now it shows on his face all the time. Guess it has become harder to disguise.

(82,849 posts)A poor person is caught with property that belongs to someone else, it's theft or burglary and off to the hoosegow. But a rich person crime, like fraud, has to prove that the person who ends up with all that money intended for his actions or his speech or his promises to take money from the victim which would then land in his pocket. "Gee, your honor, I had no idea that I was selling a pig in a poke to all those folks who gave me money. It just happened that way, that I got their money and they got nothing." "Dismissed!"

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
