The Qpublicans are whining about the release of trump's taxes..

... they are saying it sets a dangerous precedent.

I have no problem with a requirement for a Dem candidate to release his/her last 10 years taxes.

And, of course, every year while that person is in office.

The truth isn't broadcast on Fox, Newsmax, etc.

They have no idea that Biden released his taxes before the election. They're convinced Democrats are just picking on Trump. Another "witch hunt" against poor Donald. 🙄

I dont care if its the president, senator, governor, state AG, or city treasurer. Voters should have the right to see them all at any time.

All his candidates lost in 2022 in swing states, he is selling NFTs to pay the bills, dining with Nazis, being shown to not be as wealthy as he says he is and lying about being under audit for the last 6 year.

My only question does his ego allow him to pull out of running for the nomination if he knows he is going to lose or does he take his 20% of the Republican party and burn the whole thing down.

But the law does. CA tried to impose such a requirement. The CA Supreme Court (Democrats) unanimously slapped it down.

California Supreme Court says law requiring presidential candidates to turn over tax returns is invalid

The California Supreme Court on Thursday unanimously ruled the state’s new law that requires presidential candidates to disclose their tax returns for the previous five years to get on the ballot is invalid.

Chief Justice Tani Gorre Cantil-Sakauye wrote in the opinion that the law “is in conflict with the Constitution’s specification of an inclusive open presidential primary ballot.”

“The Legislature may well be correct that a presidential candidate’s income tax returns could provide California voters with important information,” Cantil-Sakauye wrote. But, she argues, the state Constitution says that “ultimately, it is the voters who must decide whether the refusal of a ‘recognized candidate throughout the nation or throughout California for the office of President of the United States’ to make such information available to the public will have consequences at the ballot box.”

...every President since Nixon thought it was the right, honorable and ethical thing to do.

Trump doesn't qualify in any of that. So yes, it does create a dangerous precedent for, grifting, dishonorable and unethical people. They might not get elected.

President who:

Lies on and about tax returns.
Blackmails president of Ukraine.
Tears families apart with kids in cages.
Ignores public health crisis.
Refuses to accept election loss and concede.
Tries to overthrow government.
Steals classified documents on the way out of the White House.
Many other not mentioned...
