Releasing it on a Thursday Night, less than 48 hours before Christmas Eve?
News addicts, and DU addicts will obviously hear about it, but very few others will.
If Breaking News released on a Friday afternoon almost always gets ignored, how about Late Thursday Evening on the East Coast, prior to the biggest Holiday period of the year?
I know they won't, but at this point, should have waited until at least next Tuesday, or even better, Monday January 2nd, when people might actually be paying attention. And a major story like this would usually get extensive coverage on the Sunday news shows, but nobody is going to be watching those on Christmas Day.

Of course one COULD print the pdf document from the government/Congressional website, but who is going to do that, given it will be as much as 800 pages?

(13,050 posts)Only serious news junkies will read even the executive summary - which is already out. The primary purposes of the final report are to complete the historical record and preserve the evidence. It really doesn't matter when the final report is issued so long as it is before January 3
