From that dark day to now. What a difference eight years makes.

Felt the Deepwater Horizon, and the 2000 election all rolled into one day. I couldn't go to bed last night until I knew for ABSOLUTE SURE it was mathematically impossible for Obama to lose - waaaaay after the networks announced his win and everyone on DU was celebrating. Because I went to bed in 2004 pretty darn sure Kerry had won and woke up to threads about voting machine tampering, voter disenfranchisement and four more years of Bush/Cheney hell.
