Anyone think there's some Republican anti-Semitism at work in their response to Zelenskyy's visit?

That, and the fact that Zelenskyy is a native Russian speaker who desires to unify his countrymen, and is an advocate for freedom, democracy, is anti-corruption and pro-American democratic values. All things Republicans can't stand.

how Zelensky was trying to ban Christianity - so yeah. I could only take about 90 seconds, but it was enough.

There's a difference between holding stereotypes and being truly intolerant. The "never criticize Israel" faction of the Republican Party is an interesting case in point. And of course there's bunches of Republicans who are Jewish or work with Jewish colleagues who are socially immunized from the hate virus.

Zelenskyy is not particularly culturally Jewish, so I think the vast majority of the "slow down support for Ukraine" half of the GOP is based mainly in wanting to kiss Putin's ass for his hating LBGTQs as part of his hate-based Christianity posing. Republican love of Putin itself is probably rooted as much in the tough stances that Obama and Hillary Clinton took against his expansionism in the early 2010s (cause whatever Obama called bad they by default loved) as it is in their general infatuation with any strong man posery.

But of course there's always some elements of Jew hating in any large cultural movement. I called hatred a virus, but maybe a better analogy is that it's a mildew that'll grow under any surface that's moist and out of the sunlight. We have a smaller share of bigots on the left too, unfortunately.

Despite some who think because the right "loves" Israel/Bibi, doesn't preclude that anti-Semitism isn't at play, it is nothing more than a pathetic smokescreen from a certain section of people who like to downplay anti-Semitism.

Once I heard that Tuckums was going on about Zelenskyy pursuing a “War on Christianity.” That tells you about everything you need to know.
