One Democratic House member voted against the $1.7 trillion spending bill.

Governing is hard. Meaningless gestures are easy.

1. At least this bill actually had funding for DHS, unlike the 2019 bill to reopen the government

the same one Democratic member voted against with the reason it funded ICE when it didn't.

5. Her District, Her City and Her State will all get important programs funded under the bill

Along with a host of other important additions among them voting protections. Every member could find something they did not like in the bill but it takes a village. Fortunately, all of her constituents will still receive the benefits of the Bill without her support…

There was also a second democratic profile in courage, a Present vote that will also get all of the benefits of the Omnibus. Thankfully some of the retiring Republicans decided to vote for it to ensure enough votes.

7. And Tlaib (D-MI) voted "present" ...

... whatever the hell "present" means.

Great representation from the so-called squad.
