The Drunken Santa and the Walnut Story:

Harking back today and remembering my parents and all the wonderful Christmas memories. My dad had an excellent sense of humor and could tell a story. So I was 4 years old and there came a knock on the door on Christmas Eve. Our guests had left and it was getting late. So I go to the door with my dad and there stands a DRUNKEN Santa with an empty sack. He must've been playing Santa somewhere in the neighborhood where they, obviously, fed him way too many toddies! He was now trying to make his way back to his car but stumbled up to our door. As soon as he saw a little girl his sodden brain kicked into gear and he did the HO-HO-HO thing and reached into his empty bag. Up he comes with one walnut from the bottom of the bag. So he presented that little girl the walnut and proceeded on his way. My dad would tell that story almost every year and we would all laugh as hard as we did the first time it was told.
