Once The Current Inventory Is Gone - Its Gone Forever.....

Notice this new trend in 'sold on TV products'. All the latest TV PRODUCT ADS are employing the same message.

Are they getting desperate?

Is this just a scam?

No new inventory. Manufacturing is being discontinued. We're limiting how many of these you can buy.

Sirens blare!!!

What will they think of next to sell us these bogus products?

...though not BulbHead, is the Bell & Howell Taclight.
Brightest flashlight I've ever seen. Sturdily built. I use it to take the dog in the dark.
Tighten the beam and I can shine it on the school building 5 blocks away. Widen the beam and it's like a backyard flood.
A charge lasts a good 8 hours.
If you need a good flashlight, I highly recommend it.

you never own anything…everything on a rent/lease/subscription plan.

Heated seats in your car? Subscription (already trial ballooned)

Software (look at adobe, quick books, etc)? Subscription

Music? Subscription

I believe this trend will creep/leap till you own NOTHING…and have no choice in the matter. Already hearing rumors that Apple plans to ONLY lease one of their planned future iPhones. Anything but the most trivial consumables will be by subscription/lease.

IF we let them.

and you want it, search for it on Amazon.

Less expensive and better quality competitor products will fill the screen, and you won't have to give your credit card number to "Bulb head."

They spend their money in advertising, not in making the products as good as they can be.

Word to the wise, don't buy the so-called "Nutri Chopper." It's supposed to save you from chopping vegetables, but the items have to be precut to fit the thing. Afterward, cleaning is very difficult. Food gets trapped in the grooves into which the slicing blades chop the food.

Don't be the poor soul who misses out. Many of these "tools" look great, but they are almost universally cheaply made and will only do one thing, and many times poorly. My kitchen has no room for "one thing tools" and neither does my workshop. Of the ones sold, many will end up at Goodwill or yard sales in a few months.

in other words, a national emergency product.

one or two words referencing context in the OP is the standard respecting readers.

this discussion is for people who watch tv. I'm not one of those people.

and there are a number of other readers who cut the cord years ago, fyi,

I believe that those sentences have words referencing the context of my OP.

If you are not one of those people that watch TV - and you have cut the cord years ago - why would you even comment on this post?

You should heed you own advice with respect to 'respecting readers' of this thread and just realize that you had no business criticizing something that you don't have an inkling about - because you don't watch TV.

I don't know why your comments irritated me so much. Perhaps I'm getting petty in my old age.

No where in the 'context' of my OP did I reference 'Covid' tests.

Everyone else that responded to my OP understood. I'm sorry you didn't get it.

Not a word in your OP Title mentions a tv ad.

That is what I referred to. in other words, If it contained tv ads, I would have simply moved past it to a post of importance to me, given time and energy constraints...

I didn't intend to be rude, I apologize.. it's a thing here, it happens a lot these days when in the past not so much. There's even a thread that posted earlier this morning or last night, on the subject. might give some perspective?

yet you wasted more of you precious time - complaining that you had to open the OP.

Seeing that you don't watch TV - you probably had all the time in the world to lodge this complaint about my post.

Seems to me that there are bigger and more important things in this world to complain about. You have my sympathy!!!!

Yes you are correct there are bigger things to complain about, which was also the point.

No I don't have a lot of time to waste which is another point.

Covid is raging all around where I live, Which is extremely important matter in lives for people around me.

I kinda think it's also very important issue for a lot more people outside of my little world.

When "Supplies are gone-That's it, they're gone"

I'm thinking home Covid Tests or any other product related to it.

I'm thinking and concerned about something fairly important.

I didn't "lodge" a complaint, I didn't alert. A bit of perspective would be useful.

The only thing I could suggest to you is you have to protect yourself.

If you have to go out and shop or do other things outside your house - make sure you are protected. Wear a mask for sure. Don't worry about what others may say to you or about you - because you are wearing a mask. You are not only protecting yourself - but others you may come in contact with.

Like I always say - you can control what you do - but you have to worry about the other people that don't care about masking up - or have a cavalier attitude about the pandemic and Covid.

I myself am 74y/o. I have some medical conditions that put me in a risky category. Every time I'm out - I'm masked. I wear disposable gloves. i wear protective glasses over my eyes. I do everything I can to protect myself - and I've talked myself into believing I am also protecting all those un-masked/un-caring people as well.

With respect to the Covid testing kits. I believe that as long as Covid remains a threat to us - that those kits will be available to us. I wouldn't worry too much about that.

So please - stop worrying and rest easy and protect yourself.

Peace!!!
