By ye works ye shall know them.
Those Republicans that continue to be glued to the Grover Norquist pledge have no intent of working in a bi-partisan fashion.
This is the measuring stick. Will they continue their loyalty to Grover? That will tell us all we need to know about the "new" Republican Party.

(30,058 posts)We should start targeting every Congress member who dares to sign this pledge. They should have one oath, to the citizens of the US and not to Grover. I have heard if the Bush tax cuts are allowed to expire then the Grover Oath will be void and it will let out all the less than intelligent ones who signed this dumb oath. It is about running the business of a nation and not lining the pockets of those who pay Grover. They have been hired to work for the citizens, paid by the citizens and if they want to work for Grover then he needs to provide salary and benefits and not suck off the government welfare program of salaries for our Congress members.

(31,706 posts)I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the Adleson or Wynn household today...all that money pissed away for NOTHING. The same with the Kochs...but I don't think we're done with them yet.
The problem is that Democrats fell asleep in 2010 that allowed the money and the teabaggers to make big gains and after licking some wounds these goons will be back in two years to create havoc again. Grover will be right there with them...as I expect the rushpublican house to be as obstinate and obstructionist as ever and that will keep him viable.
While I would hope last night's results are enough to push the self-destruct button on the right wing hate machine, it will take at least one or two more beatings like this to break the back of this corrupt and inept excuse of a party...
Cheers...
