(13,418 posts)brought up the subject of Rape, I look at this as an opportunity to make this issue ours.
It's waaaaay past time for law enforcement to have Rape DNA Kits analyzed within 72 hours so the rapist can be caught, put on trial and caged for a very loooooooooooooong time.
Some women never truly recover from a rape. Time may heal some wounds, but the triggers for PTSD are so prevalent in our culture today.
I hope Women will FINALLY demand JUSTICE on this issue. I am sick of this 'Suffer in Silence' bullshit that religions encourage.
I, for one, will be writing Obama a letter regarding this issue. He has 2 daughters and will be open to changing how rapists are treated in this country.

all that pent up energy needs to go somewhere and I think that rubbing the competition's faces in the outcome is a good way to vent!

(3,626 posts)and they cut him off really quickly, especially Rachel. Last night, too, after the president's victory speech, Tweety was off the mark. After everyone else on the panel waxed poetic (and I mean that sincerely) he said he disagreed with their assessment. His complaint? That President Obama, in his speech, didn't single out President Clinton for his crucial part in helping Obama achieve a second term.
femrap
(13,418 posts)a point. Clinton really stepped it up. But maybe it was understood between the 2 that it was Obama's night. Who knows?
The MSNBC group bugged me last night...I just turned off TV and got my info here and at other sites. I guess I just wasn't in the mood to hear them talk incessantly.
I do wish I had seen KKKarl on Faux though....I guess he was really whining about OH.

Tonight Rachael Maddow did a segment regarding the status of the anti-choice men that have said ridiculous things
Here's one she missed...
Roger Rivard Loses Reelection To Wisconsin Assembly After Saying 'Some Girls Rape Easy'
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/07/roger-rivard-reelection-wisconsin-assembly_n_2089654.html
The guys that Maddow mention that lost their races were:
Richard Murdock (IN) - (Even pregnancy from rape something "God intended"
Joe Walsh (IL) - (No Abortion 'Without Exception,' Even Rape and Incest)
Todd Akin (MO) - (If its a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to shut that whole thing down)
John Koster (WA) - ('The Rape Thing' Does Not Excuse Abortions)
Roscoe Bartlett (MD) - ("Very Few Pregnancies as a Result of Rape"
Tom Smith (PA) - (Pregnancy From Rape Similar To 'Having A Baby Out Of Wedlock')
Rick Berg (ND)
John McGovern (VT)
and the only one mentioned that KEPT his seat is Paul Ryan (WI)

Gee, I'm thinking Christmas at the Baldwin family dinner is going to be...........awkward!
It's hard to understand how one Baldwin can be so right and another equally wrong?
