So, What Has Happened with Lauren Boebert's Defunct Restaurant?

The location of GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert's shuttered firearm-themed restaurant is being filled by a Mexican restaurant.

While serving in Congress, Boebert has been a staunch advocate of stricter border policies at the Mexico-United States Border, especially supporting the notion of building a wall between the two countries.

She's characterized many of the border crossers as "illegals," noting in May that under Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, "millions of illegals including rapists, drug dealers, and criminals on the terrorist watch list have crossed the southern border," and calling for his removal from office.

Prior to joining Congress, Boebert opened Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado, a restaurant where waitresses proudly holstered guns on the job and customers could order dishes like the "M16 burrito" and a "bump stock corned beef hash."...

...Now that Boebert's restaurant has shuttered, it appears that its location is going to be filled by a Mexican restaurant, Tapatios Family Mexican Restaurant, which now has emblazoned its "coming soon" sign on the premises' front window.

Insider verified the location of the new restaurant by finding that "TAPATIOS2 LLC" was established in October at the same location as the former Shooters Grill.

Definition of poetic justice. Hope they rid the place of the previous proprietor's stench.

If there are no consequences, she can understandably respond with a big drama show of faux outrage and would-be martyrdom and vigorously milk it all in the press.

She can claim “see? MY people don’t care! MY people VOTED for me! It’s absolutely legit, and if they want ME to represent them, then they have a RIGHT to have me represent them!”

Or words to that effect. And she’ll play the “poor me, I’m a victim! They’re persecuting me!” And she’ll lean in hard for donations. And some donations WILL come, sad to say. People who are actually willing to vote for her seem to want to be had at the end of a fork, if it means she gets ahead and can “own the libs”, whatever the fuck THAT means.

But drawing a straight line connection between between a Mexican 'family restaurant' - and 'illegals' (even if only to illustrate what a total sh*t Boebert is) - is not going to sit well with a whole lot of the Hispanic population.
