Need prayers: Update

Husband tested positive today. Had the phone apt at 1. Going to pharmacy to pick up the Paxlovid.

Need prayers.

We were exposed to COVID from the trump lovers who recited the pledge at Christmas lunch. My stroke patient husband has symptoms. Could use the positive vibes.

I hope he comes through with a mild acute phase and no long COVID!

Take care of yourself! Aside from when we were in a hotel (and I couldn't isolate), we have not spread COVID within the family. (We mask indoors, use a HEPA air purifier** in the main area of the house, use eparate sleeping rooms (or mask wearing by both overnight), purifier running in any shared space for an hour after the sick person is in there unmasked (e.g. shower))

** Purifier = HEPA filter which filters to .3 microns and filters the room air several times an hour.

And run an air purifier in your room if you have one.

Masking + air purifier have worked reasonably well for us.

My husband and I got it a few back for first time, I kept my head and did not panic. Cleaned everything in house three times that week and the next.

We went through every symptom, a different one each day. The fourth day was the strangest, because we had no appetite for a day and a half, then realized we couldn't taste or smell. That came back 3 days later. My cough lingered for another two weeks after the last symptom. I have asthma so I did regular breathing exercises. Take deep breath and hold for ten seconds.

I did Nyquil for dry cough and mucinex expectorant for phelmy cough.

I hope you and your husband get through without Long Covid Symptoms or any complications.

I hope he gets through this okay. I'm sorry the trumpsters had to be in the same room with you.

I'm not trying to be mean, but these idiots really piss me off. They are all so FOMO that they go out ill, and won't put a mask on even for the protection of others.

Aaaarrhh.

My 93-year old mom got it two weeks ago. She has all kinds of health problems and is extremely weak and frail. She got the Paxlovid pretty quickly and didn't get terribly sick. She's doing quite well now. I hope that your husband gets through it quickly and without major problems as well.

My MIL had Covid at 89. Months before, we were told she needed a new aorta, but all we could do was wait for the end. We thought it was her heart, but it was Covid. After a week, she recovered.
