President Joe Biden was so disturbed by the Secret Services handling of text messages sought by the House January 6 select committee that he stopped speaking candidly in the presence of special agents assigned to his protection detail, a new book on the Biden White House has revealed, the Independent reports.
In The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Bidens White House, author Chris Whipple writes that Mr Bidens discomfort with the post-Trump era agency began early on in his presidency, when it became clear that some of the agents charged with protecting him from assassination were strong supporters of the man he defeated in the 2020 election, former president Donald Trump.
Also interesting: Bidens relationship with his security further strained after an agent claimed that the presidents dog had bitten him an allegation that Biden doesnt quite believe.

(76,285 posts)Yup my now late big English black lab, was aggressive towards people twice in his life and
both times it was the right thing to do. My son was 13 or 14 and walking the lab and a
creepy guy came up to talk to my son and the dog was having none of it. Dog, "That's my
boy and I will die right now protecting him."
I don't know if it is the scent "the bad person" produces or some kind of biochemical product
or just the vibe of that person but a dog knows.
When it turned out that some S.S. agents had wiped their phones clean after 1/6 and I
found out that Joe's dog had gone after some S.S. agents I started to put 2 and 2 together.

(3,412 posts)I've wondered if "bad intent" can be sensed somehow by a dog, and I think they can. I've had a similar experience as you...a kind of creepy person suddenly deciding to leave when a friend's big old German Shepherd entered the room. The dog was all happy when he came into the room, and his demeanor immediately changed when he saw this guy. Went on point, hair came up on his hackles, and he turned and faced that dude with that gutteral growl they have. Dude couldn't get out of there fast enough.

(316,481 posts)about changing of the SS Guard?!
There should be bite marks if true.
I read it was on the 2nd Floor and no SS should ever be up there.
that agent was bitten should have to prove it. If on 2nd floor where they werent supposed to be, that agent should have been fired and the second floor should have been swept for listening devices.

(1,555 posts)I just don't understand how almost everybody falls in line - throws away their dignity for him. I know the people who go to his rallies would do anything for him (while he wouldn't cross the street to spit on them). But so many professionals want to line up behind him? WTF? Someone like that would make me want to do be on the opposite side, regardless of what their political stripes were.

Now someone needs to clean house in the military, and the first step in that direction would be to ban Fux Nooz from playing on military bases or on United States property.

(1,143 posts)that some SS agents smashed their car into a guard shack when returning drunk from what ever dumbfuckery they were into. They were trusted with guarding President Obama.
Other agents with the same responsibility (guarding President Obama) were involved in some sort of set to in a brothel somewhere in South America (I believe I recall... but brain is old so who knows).
Clean out the shitheads in the SS.... and, yes, I do believe that Kamala could do that.
It will be SO DAMNED IMPORTANT when the fascist assholes realize that if they could get gym jordan in as Speaker of The House.... he would be just two murders away from the Presidency. No sense of history or honor would stop them.
