Does the media hold any responsibility...?

If Republicans fail to hold Clarence Thomas or Donald Trump accountable for their actions?

There is no doubt that if a Democrat was in either situation, that of Clarence Thomas or Donald Trump, the media would be singing a different song.

Am I wrong in thinking this?

They would have a countdown, 'Day 1 of the Democratic Party's Demise.' Someone could think of better words to use, but I think that'd be the general idea. We'd be sewing gold donkeys on our clothes.

They fucked up big time with Trump, thinking he would be the train wreck that brings the ratings. They didn't consider what a few billions of air time can do an election.

Well, corporate media/MSM anyway (there are plenty of independent/niche media establishments who would be consistent and scream like their hair was on fire over both cases).

But there is no "holding Republicans accountable" for the MSM to do. That phenomenon does not exist in the real world, it's a purely theoretical construct. The Repukes don't give a shit what MSM says about them. MSM is totally impotent in that direction. Repukes just cry "fake news" and thereby rally the base.
