I remember reading about them back in the day

From the LA Times

Cynthia Albritton, who as Cynthia Plaster Caster successfully channeled a teenage desire to lose her virginity to a rock star into a lifelong project creating casts of their erect penises, died on Thursday in her native Chicago after an undisclosed illness, according to a press release. She was 74.

Starting in 1968, Albritton began compiling a vast collection of phalluses enabled by private sessions with rockers including Jimi Hendrix, the MC5’s Wayne Kramer, Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys and dozens more.

“It was the ’60s. I was a virgin. I was horny. It was the dawn of the sexual revolution,” Albritton said in 2000 in an interview at the first show of her work. “I wanted to fall in love with a British rock star.”

Carrying a black suitcase tagged with an oval “Plaster Casters of Chicago” label, the artist arrived backstage at concerts or at hotels with a ready-made pitch and the tools to make it happen. She was soon being profiled alongside other so-called groupies Pamela Des Barres, Judith Peters (“Miss Mercy”) and Christine Frka (“Miss Christine”) in Rolling Stone."

The Girls together outrageously. (The GTO's)

She was soon being profiled alongside other so-called groupies Pamela Des Barres, Judith Peters (“Miss Mercy”) and Christine Frka (“Miss Christine”) in Rolling Stone."

from the late 60's, most resided in Zappa's first house in the Hollywood Hills, The "Log Cabin" once owned perhaps by Tom Mix. He moved to another home on Woodrow Wilson Drive, where he lived until his death around 1993. Subsequently sold to Lady Gaga a few decades later, which she flipped for a profit.

32. There are so many I don't know
Sun Jan 1, 2023, 05:11 PM

there are way too many from my youth represented here. People who were important to me through the ages. As a fat kid, I got teased mercilessly. Some of these people were my "friends" to whom I'd escape when things in real life got too hard to face. They brought their versions of life (Nichelle Nichols, Robbie Coltrane, Donna's father) to a world that, to my teenage or young adult self, was cruel and unforgiving. May they all rest in peace and power.

Even Mikhail... for all his faults, he tried for the best for his nation.

Beyond the sheer "ow, wow" of all the people who've left us, give a sec to the creator of this. I mean, I'm blown away by the sheer creativity and artistry. Amazing!

May 2023 treat us all gently. May those of us who deal with chronic conditions, no matter what our ages, get cut a break in this year and our meds and treatments grow in relation to the symptoms of our condition and disease.

May the U.S. healthcare finally choose 2023 as the year they got serious about joining the rest of the civilized world with Universal Healthcare. And may Women's Healthcare take front stage in all areas... not just Reproductive Health (tho gods know, that is overwhelmingly important). May those of us with autoimmune diseases not be cast aside because there's more money to be made on fancier, more profitable medicines.

Old age, for most of us, is not an era to be entered into lightly -- tho every single one of us will enter it.

And it's probably way too much to ask, but I do hope there's a bridge of some kind to be found between the Right and the Left in this country (and least, those less MAGAT-Y). And we finally put the oligarchs on notice that WE, the People, are taking back our country, for ourselves and OUR prosperity, health, and welfare - not theirs!

The Queen of England and Pele are huge by themselves. Barbara Walters is also in GOAT territory. Then there's Angela Lansbury, Meatloaf, Bill Russel, Bob Sagat, Shinzo Abe, Gorbachev, Sidney Poitier, and many more. It's a hell of a list.

“I’ve been doing this since 2016. That was the year anyone who was nice or kind or creative or special decided it was time to leave before the bad stuff started,” Barker tells Billboard in an exclusive note about the year we lost Prince and David Bowie, among many others.

You mean they won't be excoriating Santos, trump, and mccarthy on an iPad all night, listening to music, having their cat walk over their face, getting up about five times because of New Year's fireworks still going off and idiot neighbors still playing music? Getting hot, turning on a fan, readjusting the bed, dropping the pillow on the floor, remembering they forgot to take their pills, dropping the pills on the floor, then looking for them with a flashlight?

They don't get to do that anymore? Is that RIP?

on the far left above Angela Lansbury and between Sidney Poitier and Kirstie Alley. I *think* Benedict might be up on the very top row to the right of the image in the area where there is a row of buildings and is under the 2nd one that appears to be collapsing.
