Update on Damar:

His vitals are back to normal and they have put him to sleep to put a breathing tube down his throat. They are currently running tests.

We will provide updates as we have them.

There hasn’t been anything from his family, team or the NFL.

the player that collapsed but the player that made the tackle.

On the “Marvin Harrison Jr. Scale” it was about a two.

Which is exactly what I would expect them to say if they had a platoon of doctors, nurses and others trying to save his life with little time to issue press releases

A friend of a friend died last year. She collapsed while on vacation and then was transported to what might have been the shittiest hospital in the country. Once your heart stops and you don't get that blood/oxygen to the brain for a few minutes, it's very hard to bounce back from that. She was on the vent for a few weeks. A lot of false positives and premature hope. It was awful.

That said, she didn't get immediate, top of the line care like Damar did, so it's possible that Damar's brain will recover and heal itself. It might take a few weeks though. I think his family will be faced with the question of how long to keep him on the vent--they might even be pressured to take him off. In his situation I think they should give it at least 6 weeks just because he received care so quickly. The human body is truly amazing if you provide the right framework for success/recovery.
