I believe that a large percentage of cops agree and support the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers.

On 2017 I was at an Anti-tRump rally in downtown San Diego and I was up front. Some jackass with a megaphone/siren kept drowning out the Dem City Council Member during her speech. She had to get the chief of police to tell the cops to do their damn jobs. I was there and the cops allowed the Proud Boys (I found out who they were after the event) to disrupt the event.
They just stood there with their arms folded across their chests. It took the City Council member to call them out before the cops did anything to stop them. That was my introduction into the "Proud Incels" way of taking things into their own hands.
