"The ayes have it"

I haven't seen a post regarding last nights vote to adjourn and the ayes. After she stated the ayes have it, and before she brought down the gavel she seemed kind of shell shocked. The ayes clearly DID NOT have it (Shady), not even close. From here on out the Dems need to be on their game, and call for a vote on it.

My point is that they did not fail to call for a vote last night by mistake.

2. Any memeber can call for a recorded vote, if 2/5ths say yes it will go to a vote.

Usually it is done by doing a cursory head count of people standing in the room.

7. Again any single one of them could have called for a recorded vote.

Tonight she said "the nays have it" and the Republicans called for a vote.

The voice vote is only for general sentiment and is mostly meaningless.

It's just maddening to me when that sort of thing happens. When asking for nays and she's nearly blown of the podium, just seems plain wrong for her to state "the ayes have it". Not a good look. Nicole even mentioned it when it happened.
