Gaetz talking about "purity" is sorta like Taylor-Greene lecturing on chastity. nt (Original Post) Atticus Jan 2023 OP

according to the FReaks.

Boebert is embarrassing and Gaetz obnoxious; both should be primaried and replaced with genuine Republicans; so tired of these puffed up RINOs who have more in common with “the squad” than I can stomach.

just for women? Would MTG be "nicer" if she were chaste?

Plus, do we know she is not chaste? We certainly know Gaetz isn't.

Chastity belts for all!

Plus, what the fuck?

retrospect, maybe I should have said "the importance of honoring marital vows" instead of "chastity".

At any rate, in plain language, I don't care who or how many she's hooking up with, but the dishonesty and hypocrisy of betraying someone to whom she had given her promise to be faithful I find repulsive and disgusting.

But, that's just me.

It is about being true to your commitments and being a person of honor.

Human relationships are complex and messy. I used to be really harsh about infidelity. While I still think that it is very damaging, and do not condone it at all, and would do everything in my own power to prevent it in my life, I understand that no one is perfect.

The problem with people like Green AND Gaetz, is that they are both total scumbags, YET they want to stand up and lecture others about what "they" should do, when as you said, one is a serial cheater, and the other is under investigation for HUMAN TRAFFIKING and sex with underage girls.

Bill Clinton fucked up on Hillary and for me, that diminished him in terms of personal character, but Bill Clinton did NOT go around scolding people for moral failings he had himself. He knew enough humility to stay in his lane about personal character.

Chastity has an implication that women should not be sexual beings, while men are "free to roam".

I have no problem with Greene having sex with whoever and however many people she wants, the hypocrisy, and her disgustingness is how she lectures people on being "moral" when she has been unfaithful to the vows of monogamy she made with her partner. I don't care if she is "chaste" or not. That she is not true to her word is way worse to me. I hold the same view for men. People can have sex with whoever and however many people they want to, but when you make a commitment to be with only your partner, when you don't honor that, you are showing a lack of character and honesty.

If you are in an open relationship and have an understanding, and the parties involved are all consenting, then go for it, do whatever you fancy. Relationships (all relationships) are based on trust. If I sell you my car, you trust that I am not selling you a piece of crap with structural, engine, or transmission problems. If I have sold crappy cars to other people in the past and You as a buyer know this, then you have EVERY right to not trust me. Same with any other relationship. Greene cannot be trusted. She has no loyalty and no ethical or moral compass. Same as Gaetz. They are both POS.
