From a distance...

I can't help but thinking that this week was just theater. McCarthy was always going to be the Speaker. They deflected the 1/6 event and gave Trump a new forum.

This was all about bringing attention to themselves and winning the news cycles.

to deflect from the actual work of governing. They aren't about working to advance the country because they have no platform.

all about them and their egos. They always distract to something else.

Not one repig, except for 1, went outside with other Democrats on the Capitol steps for the 2 yr. anniversary of Jan 6th insurrection.

That's saying a lot, and I noticed for Hakeem Jeffries speech that other side of the aisle did not get up, (nothing new for them) the Democracy haters.

Winning that way is no fun for them, they have to be in a loud intimidating minority for victory to be enjoyable. And it’s all about fun for them

... means demonstrating to the nation that the Republicans are "a party in disarray", then I agree that that mission was accomplished.

And I don't think that looking like assholes constitutes "winning the news cycles".

Sometimes abject stupidity is just that - and pretending it was some kind of "strategy" is just a poorly-devised response to the obvious.
